Family Prayer Bags
Throughout the year, children will have the opportunity to bring home a prayer bag to share with their family.
Advent and Christmas
Our Ursuline Posadas have been inspired by the Mexican tradition of Las Posadas.
Las Posadas celebrates the journey that Joseph and Mary made in search of a safe place for Mary to give birth to Jesus.
During Advent and the Christmas Season, our traveling cribs will be visiting families. Each class has their own Posada to take home. The bag contains small nativity figures, a candle and a prayer book.
At home, set up the Nativity together as a family and talk about this wonderful gift. Light the candle and say a prayer.
Lent and Easter
To help us to prepare during Lent and to celebrate during Easter, our family prayer bags will once again be visiting families.
Some of our Key Stage 2 children have been working hard to paint some special pebbles for each bag.
